  Small Standing Cupboard
Unknown, 17th C

Oak and willow. The frame made of a willow that grows in the middle east and Spanish America. May be Spanish colonial? Convenient coffee table size. Possibly of Spanish Colonial or Arabian origin. An intriguing little piece with access by a sliding panel on the side and a lift board on the top. Losses, but no restoration.  29" w x 20-1/2" l x 23" h.

  Partially Enclosed Chest of Drawers
English, c 1670

Oak. A rare form of chest whose style of applied decoration came to England from Holland and became popular in New England. In two parts: The upper with two pillow-fronted drawers with geometric moldings; the lower with two doors similarly decorated enclosing three drawers. Decorated with ebonized split spindles and bosses contrasting with the original red stain; applied corbels, dentil cornice, and blind fret. Replaced hinges, replaced pulls on upper drawers.   49-1/2" w x 23-1/2" d x 48" h.

  William & Mary Chest of Drawers
English or Dutch, c 1680

Pine. A rare survivor, particularly in such original condition. Pine was used almost as often as oak, particularly for cottage furniture, but little has survived. Deep geometric moldings on drawer fronts. Paneled sides. Restored pulls, some worm and damp damage, patched.  33-1/2" w x 20-1/2" d x 32" h.
