  Set of Six Medieval Columns
English, 1500-1525

Oak. For the serious collector. The V & A has six similar columns, a pair and four singles, none of which have bestiary finials. ( cat.331-335, see C. Tracey, 1988, p. 202-3.) A set of six is very rare. Finely carved with a variety of patterns, some with finials of bestiary figures. Probably from the corners of a hexagonal pulpit or font. Losses, splits but no restoration.  Approx 51" (5); 23-1/2" (1), 2" wide.

  Pair of Caraytids
Flemish, c 1675

Oak. Attractive carvings of shepherd boys with pipe, staff and bag. One leg carved in the round. Excellent condition.  17-1/2" h x 3-1/4" w.

Oak. Figure of woman inside a flowered oval, surrounded by baroque motifs and foliage. Good condition.  20-3/4" x 9-1/2".

Oak Figures of Elizabethan/Jacobean men with moustaches, carved in the English naïve manner. Superficial losses, bottom 1/2" restored.  14-1/2" x 4-1/2".
